A Tribute to “Daisy”

January 6th, a very sad day, Aaffien found Daisy’s body today, we don’t know how she died but her little body was frozen and under one of the boats in the yard. She was a wonderful mom who gave birth to 6 kittens earlier this year. All of the kittens survived and have been adopted to loving homes. Her body was taken to the THS where it will be cremated. Good Bye little fur angel.

Rest now, my sweet Daisy

dec08_nice-daisy1

Daisy always watched anxiously in the background when we were trying to catch her little ones , but when we had them it seemed she was saying “I know you’ll take good care of them”
She was a very loving mother, a sweet , shy puss, who always came when we called for her. Rest now, my sweet Daisy, cat heaven is a good place to rest

Farewell “Daisy”

“Hear and Bless thy beasts and singing birds and guard with tenderness small things that have no words”
– Margaret Wise Brown

We are saddened by the loss of our lovely Daisy who passed away on January 6, 2009.  She was a caring mother, silently providing for her young.  All of her young have been adopted and our now in loving homes.

Daisy, a noble feral – she no longer walks alone……

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!

Here are some shots of our furry friends taken on January 4, 2009.

Tina (Turner) arrived at the colony in late November.  She is blind in one eye and could really use a trip to the salon.tina_right-paw-up_04jan09

Hemingway:  Now that Hemingway is no longer looking for love, he has been showing up for dinner.  He is the oldest of the Cherry Street clan we just adore our gentle giant.

Scraps:  Scraps had not been sited for a couple of weeks.  We were very relieved when he showed up today for Sunday dinner.

Ginny (Virginia) Wolfe:  Ginny is becoming more social.  Today was the closest I have ever been able to get to her.

Callie is very polite and is always one of the last to arrive at the feeding station.  Here she is peeking out from an ibeam, anxiously awaiting her turn.

Who is This?  Can anyone tell me if this is Clayton’s cat or a new arrival.

Who is This?  At first I thought this was Isaac but I don’t recall him having a striped tail.  Is this one of the cats that arrived with Tina?
